The Dorchester Academy Parent Teacher Organization performs many services and provides much support to our school during the year. They meet each month and take on, to the best of their ability, whatever needs are brought to their attention at that time.


On a regular basis, the PTO helps fund and operate our lower school art program. They sponsor our Open House in August, our Grandparents Breakfast in September, and our Supper with Santa in December. Each year, they orchestrate two major fundraisers, typically the Cow Drop in the fall and the Spring Raffle in the spring. They work to fulfill the needs of our students and teachers by providing or assisting in such projects as teacher bonuses, IXL licenses, additions to technology, support for a new playground, and senior scholarships.


The PTO invites all interested parents, grandparents, and teachers to join them on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the school lunchroom to learn what can be done to support our school. With every new PTO member, our school gets stronger and better.
